What is a Twitter giveaway picker?

A Twitter giveaway picker is a tool that chooses random winners from the people who entered a giveaway on X (Twitter). Instead of scrolling through entries and picking by hand, you paste the post link and the tool draws for you, so the result is fair and quick to prove.

This one draws from reposts. It reads up to 50 people who reposted your post, removes anyone who misses your filters, and picks at random from everyone left.

How do I pick a winner for a Twitter giveaway?

Paste the link to your giveaway post above, choose how many winners you want and press Pick. You'll see the winners with their handles, follower counts and a ready-made post to announce them. Open each profile before you contact anyone, to make sure the account looks real.

  1. Open your giveaway post on X and copy its link.
  2. Paste it into the picker and set the number of winners.
  3. Turn on any filters you announced in your rules, then press Pick.
  4. Copy the announcement and post it as a reply or a new post.

Can I pick winners from replies or likes?

Not with this tool. It draws from reposts only. If your giveaway asks for a reply or a like, also ask people to repost, or pick by hand from the replies on X. Either way, say in your rules how you'll pick, so nobody is surprised when the winner is announced.

What do the filters do?

Filters drop accounts that look fake or were made just to enter. They're all optional. Only use the ones you'd be happy to explain in your giveaway rules.

FilterWhat it checksWhen to use it
PhotoThe account has a profile picture. On by default. Accounts with no photo are often new or fake.
Banner, location, bioThe profile has a header image, a location or a bio.Stricter. Real people often skip these, so use them sparingly.
Followers vs followingFollowers divided by following is at least 0.5, 1 or 1.5.Filters accounts that follow thousands but have few followers.
Minimum followersThe account has at least this many followers.A low bar like 10 drops most throwaway accounts.
Minimum postsThe account has posted at least this many times.Good for spotting accounts made just to enter giveaways.
Account ageThe account is older than 1 week up to 1 year. One month is a fair middle ground.

Is the draw fair?

Yes. Our server shuffles everyone who passed your filters and takes the first names from the shuffled list. You don't choose and neither do we. The one limit to know: only up to 50 reposters are in the draw, so for a post with hundreds of reposts, not every entrant gets a chance.

How to run a giveaway people trust

  • Write the rules in the post: how to enter, when it ends and how you'll pick.
  • Announce the winners in public, as a reply to the giveaway post.
  • Only DM winners from your own account, and never ask for a password or payment.
  • Read X's guidelines for contests before you post.

A giveaway brings people in. What keeps them is what you post next. Postel learns how you write and drafts posts for LinkedIn and X, so your account stays active after the giveaway. You can also check your engagement rate or write a first line people stop for.
