Sitemap generator, a map for search engines

Paste your page addresses, one per line. Get a sitemap.xml you can copy or download.

Use full addresses, including the https part. Duplicates are removed.

What is a sitemap generator?

A sitemap generator is a tool that turns a list of your pages into a sitemap.xml file. Search engines read that file to find pages they might miss by following links. This one runs in your browser: paste your addresses, and it writes the file in the standard format, ready to upload.

How do I add a sitemap to my site?

Save the file as sitemap.xml in the root folder of your site, so it opens at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. Add a line saying Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml to your robots.txt file. Then submit the address in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Most site builders and blog platforms already make a sitemap for you, so check yoursite.com/sitemap.xml before you upload one. Once your pages are found, Postel helps people find you on LinkedIn and X: it drafts posts from your notes and links, and schedules them.
