What is an essay checker?
An essay checker is a tool that reads your essay for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and clarity problems. This one returns a corrected version of the whole text first, then lists up to ten of the most important fixes, with the original words, the change and a short reason for each.
How do I proofread an essay?
Take a break first, then read it out loud, slowly. Check one thing per pass: spelling, then punctuation, then whether each paragraph makes one clear point. A checker catches the mechanical mistakes. You still need to check that the argument holds together and the facts are right.
